    Bernard Berrian is slow

At least when compared to his younger brother.......

Vikings wide receiver Bernard Berrian might be fast but he’s got nothing on his younger brother, Chris, who just competed in the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Ore...

Sounds like the Berrian family has some serious wheels, it's to bad Chris hurt his knee. When you train for years and set your goals for the Olympics, and get injured, what a bummer. Lets hope Bernard can stay healthy and burn past some defenders this year. First play of the season, "I" formation with AD, two tight ends, Rice, and Berrian split. The Packer safety is sure we will give the ball to AD, will cheat up, and oops it's a play action..... wide open down field Tarvaris has Berrian and makes the throw.....TouchDown.... ;D
    Oh Yeah.

    Re: Bernard Berrian is slow

Anyone remember the play the Vikes ran last year were T-will actually caught a deep ball......

    WR

    LT
    LG
    C
    RG
    RT

    TE

    QB

    TE

    FB

    RB

T-will ran really really really fast and got behind his defender and TJ hit him in stride and he caught the ball.

Bet we see this alignment a few times this year in 2nd and short situations or when the D puts us in 1rst and 5 because of a penalty.

    What will we do?
    1.
    Power run off LT/RT?
    2.
    Power run up the middle?
    3.
    Power run off LG/RG?
    4.
Play action fake and hit the TE in the seam?
    5.
Play action fake and hit the FB in the seam?
    6.
Play action fake and hit the RB out in the flats?
    7.
QB bootleg/rollout for a quick throw or keep it himself?
    8.
Heavens forbid, max protect and hit the WR deep if he is left alone.

Man I wish I could be the O-coord for the Vikes.
With the assumption that TJ is gonna be better than last year, I bet O-coords are gonna stay up late at night worrying about stopping this offense.

I for one can't wait for the 1rst and 3rd preseason games, especially the 3rd game.
We should have a pretty good idea what we have in a QB this year.

    Great Post.
I love how we'll run to set up the pass.

I hope everyone remembers... he only did it once

Great formation though, I'm a big fan of a heavy formation. With a speed receiver like Berrian, and a backfield with AD and CT... I think we could see this formation a lot this year.

    Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

Penalty flag. 12 men on the field ! lol!
What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. Its the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"
