My quoting button has never worked for me. It only works when I turn the quick post option off. I know you can do something like (q\ insert quote here q\) but I'm not exactly sure.
You can't quote when the quick reply box is open.
It is a known bug. If you go into the Look and Layout Preferences section in your profile, you can turn the quick reply off by default.

And FYI, the markup for manually inserting a quote is

    [q uote author="someone"] insert quote here [/quote]

There will be a lawsuit for sure.
This happened in a city not far from where I live.
A couple years ago a kid died of the same thing in a frat hazing prank.

Actually, type at the bottom of the quote to keep the natural flow of "conversation".

How could you sue for this? You could die from an eating contest, a beer drinking contest. She's the numbnut that drank herself to death.

True, but the contest organizers hold a degree of liability because they are the ones promoting the act that killed her.
If they enticed her to do something that could result in physical harm without explaining the risks, they are partially at fault.

Honestly, I never claimed to be a rocket scientist, but I am no ordinary idiot either.
I honestly didn't know that you could die from drinking too much water, although it makes sense now that I think about it.

    Re: An automatic win?

That's too bad that this happened. Sad story. Now I guess everytime my mom says she worries that I will die because of alcohol poisoning I can just say that I could just as easily die from water intoxication.

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!
