    An automatic win?

I would say death constitutes an automatic win in the contest.

SACRAMENTO, California (AP) -- A woman who competed in a radio station's contest to see how much water she could drink without going to the bathroom died of water intoxication, the coroner's office said Saturday...

Wow, that's actually a really sad story.

"She said to one of our supervisors that she was on her way home and her head was hurting her real bad," said Laura Rios, one of Strange's co-workers at Radiological Associates of Sacramento. "She was crying, and that was the last that anyone had heard from her."
"I was talking to her and she was a nice lady," Ybarra said. "She was telling me about her family and her three kids and how she was doing it for her kids."

Just one more sad story that emanates from the false manipulation of the market by makers of electronics...you can't make me believe that the "limited availability" of the PS3 and Wii are nothing more than calculated marketing ploys to artificially create an overwhelming demand for their products.
All that does is make people crazy....very irresponsible by the manufacturers IMO...and they should (and will) be included the ensuing lawsuit(s)!

Wouldn't you throw up before you died from drinking to much water? I guess not.

Yeah thats what I was thinking! Did they use vodka instead of water and just arent telling us? Very sad that she died from something like that to make her kids happy.

Re: DJs fired after woman dies in water-drinking contest

I did see about this yesterday but who is the bigger moron in all of this, the radio jock who first thought and organised this or the woman for going in for such a contest in the first place?

I know some people are desperate for a Wii but not sure I'd want to hold onto water like that to win one .. lol

I would think that they would have to sign some sort of Waiver before hand right? But This is the first time I have and I would guess the DJ as well of someone dying from drinking 2 much water. especially that amount. Especially since you always hear drink water.
