Assassin's creed is a very well conceived game as far as historical information goes.
Even though it takes place during the third crusade, it doesn't take either King Richard's or Saladin's side in the conflict.
All of the targets are corrupt leaders in the rather militaristic void areas of the middle east during the attack on Jerusalem.

This is actually very important to sales.
If the story took the Crusader side, it would be met with resistance from the Muslim community.
If it took Saladin's side, it would meet resistance from everyone else.
All in all a very well conceived game.
    Thanks NP

    OK.
So I've checked, and don't see this in his stack of games.
Still not sure as his room is a mess, of course.

A few of the names on his discs boxes.....

    Lord of the Rings II
    Command and Conquer
    Ghost Recon
    Gears of War
    Phantasy Star Universe
Crackdown (I double checked that one
    ;D)
    Splinter Cell
    Chromehounds
    Oblivion (something about scrolls).

Seems like your description might be in his taste.
Don't want to buy him something that is considered lame.

I'm not much of a gamer and I've never heard of this game , but it sounds sweet to me. I don't think it would be a bad buy Marr... I'm thinking about going out and picking one up for myself.

A game about Assassins durring the crusades... it's gotta be good.

    Re: Assassin's Creed

    More info:

The team that is developing the game is the same team that made the Prince of Persia games.

They are referring to Assassin's Creed as a new "franchise". Which means it is not just a game, a trilogy of novels are in the works, with the first one to be released soon. A movie may also be in the works.

Limited Edition: Game comes in a limited edition tin box along with a 3 inch figurine of the main character, Altair. Also included are a set of Penny Arcade comics, a mini-strategy guide, a few IFC short films, game trailers, and Assassin's Creed videos that included the "Making of."
    - Amazon.com.

I could be covered for ideas for at least a couple of years.

One question that hasn't been answered.
    Is/does it come 360 XBox?
