    Artest Rejects trade

This guy is a piece of work. He refuses to play, demands a trade, and then rejects the trade. He found the best loophole ever considering he's still collecting checks from the Pacers.

    What does that IDIOT want???

I think that he wants to play for the Lakers...but they won't give the Pacers crap in return!

They should send Kwame Brown's underachieving A$$ to Indiana for Artest!!!

There isn't an article, just the comment next to his picture. I saw on Sportscenter as well.

The Pacers can now "not pay him"

I THINK that is the case. If it isn't, it should be. He refused to go.

They either have to play him, release him, or suspend without pay.

Something like that. I was listening to espn and working at the same time.

Snow, you are right in that is what the Pacers will do but for now he is getting paid. Suspension without pay in the NBA because of the CB agreement is a little tricky but it obviously looks likme the Pacers have a good case. Until the checks stop coming, this guy has life figured out. If they stop coming and he doesn't get dealt, then he is certifiably insane.

Yep, he wants to play for LA and is basically gonna force the Pacers to take what they can get from LA and move on. The NBA is getting famous for this type of moves by unhappy players who were traded where they didn't want to play. Remember Alonzo Mourning was traded to toronto and refused to play there, and was eventually bought out of his contract.

At this point I don't care if Ron Artest could come in and really mess things up for the Lakers, I still would take the risk of trading for him. It's clear the Lakers are no better then a first round playoff loss without another good player along Kobe, so I don't see too much of a downside here. I've always said get rid of odom, but now we may not even have to do that to get Ron, if he is gonna make it impossible for them to trade him anywhere else.

Anybody hear if the Timberwolves are still trying to get a hold of this guy? I think it would still be good for them if they get rid of some of there useless players.
