Armchair quarterback just paralyzed regular quarterback

Doug Lefebvre says his friends regularly chide him for being a typical armchair quarterback. But Lefebvre says he would gladly be a regular quarterback instead of an armchair quarterback, if not for the fact that God took his ability to walk.

“I was actually a very good high school quarterback and I even had some offers to play in college,” said Lefebvre. “But then in the district championship game my senior year I got my neck broken on a quarterback sneak. I haven’t moved my legs since, hence the armchair quarterbacking.”

But while Lefebvre’s friends say they are very sympathetic to his plight, his paralysis doesn’t mean he can be a reactionary, know-it-all football fan.

“Yes, he can’t move his legs, but that doesn’t mean he’s allowed to pretend that he picked the Jets to make the playoffs before the season,” said longtime friend Ed Steffen, “or to say after the fact that he knew Boise State was going to run that exact trick play in overtime. That just makes him a douchebag. A sad, paralyzed douchebag.”

If that was a real article, that would be just sick...it's still sick that someone even thought of it as a joke!

I'm confused by the whole article. But I guess it's better to be confused than to know why people are ripping on somebody that is paralyzed.
