Is anyone here playing or will be playing college football?

im going to gradaute this year from high school and I got accepted by northern illinois to go to school. However, I want to play football and i didn't play my senior year because i moved. Would a d3 school be a better fit if I haven't played for a year, and If I was a walkon at a d 1 college like northern, would they give me a fair chance to show my skills or would they put me on the practice squad and serve as scout dummy.

I've still been lifting weights and running so Im physically stronger than I ever was, but is it a safer bet at a small school rather than to jump right in if i took a year off?

Go for the D3.

D1 schools are less likely to take a walk on.

You could showcase your talent in D3 then go D1.

Ask Del Rio, he'll know.

If you are good enough, yes.

If you go D1 and not make the team, you are screwed for that year.

May as well go for the sure thing.

Many great players start out small and then go D1.

No.

Just know a lot of people who did.

The 2 guys I caoch with did.

One was a TE for Michigan State.

The other a DE for a D3 Missouri school whose name I cannot remember.
