Anyone else catch the announcers remark about budah on sun?
If you didn't here is what happened. Well, pat williams made a big play (i think it was the forced fumble), and they showed him on the sideline, smiling with his teammates. Then the announcer made a comment that he looks like a god, due to his weight and the fact he just made a big play. but then he said "It may be budah, but its STILL a god". did anyone else find this very wrong?? he is implying budah is a lesser/weaker god. I'm actually an athiest, but i still found this horribly inconsiderate for the budist people. Anyone else catch this and thought it was wrong???

I think he was just trying to make the point that fat pat was like budda.. not anything against budda. I really don't think he was implying anything.

Yeah he should have said something Like "That is the mythical Greek God Dominoacus. The Greek God for pizza delivery"
Now that would have been funny.

yah i noticed it but didn't take offense to it. i just thought it was funny that they were relating him to budha just because of his big belly and that it was good luck to rub his belly. i could see though how somebody could have taken offense to it though.

Thanks Josdin

I didn't think it was offensive, just a joke and saying how Williams looked like a big buddha on the sideline.
By the way, as an Atheist my self, one of my peeves is the misspelling of Atheist ... but hang in there on the Godless side ... we are always recruiting.

With the Karma this team has right now there is going to be someone picking a part anything they say. This however will change when they retire Favre and beat the Packers on SUNDAY, and we all smile have a toast to cheer our good fortune and I chase the misses around and do the no pants dance  :hello1:
