    Common comments, right.

If they are jokes, then run and make a change.
    Stand up.
    Its simple.
You vote like a sheep, you shouldn't expect shit from anyone.

I am dead tired of listening to arm-chair yappers who don't have the fortitude to make effective change themselves.

I would run, except I don't have the $200 million it costs to fund a campaign... hence my point made earlier. And yes, they are jokes, thats why this thread is here in the first place.

    Simple.

Serve your community as city council.
    Then go mayor.
By then people give *you* money to run.
Get a state house seat next.
Then, again, with all that fat money around, get paid to run for Senate.

That money excuse is another played out excuse by those who will not serve the neighbors in the greatest open democracy in history.

    :-*

Not picking on CMac, just making general observations for fun this morning since I am awnry.

You can effect change, if your actions follow your mouth.

It's really not so "simple" and not quite sure if this is a democracy anymore (ie- laws against sagging your pants?). Americans thrives on debt (hence the recession we're about to enter). Once in that debt, they are pretty much forced to work their jobs just to keep their head above water, only to be taxed over a quarter of what they made at the end of the year. God Bless America.

    Re: Another hypocrite!

just to be argumentative, for fun, it is silly we are one of the lower taxed free societies in the world.

but then again, I am making shit up that certain Euro countries are taxed nearly to half their income.
    :

    I hate taxes myself.
Isn't that why we started this country?
    No taxation without representation?
Well, I for sure am not represented when they bend me over and pull a dollar out of my ass.
    Thus, my campaign begins.

That makes it right? It's that sort of pacifism that allows politicians to make the horrible blunders they do without being held accountable. Just point the finger at another country who does it even worse.

Ya talk about receiving all that "free money." It isn't free and that why this country is in the mess it it. Some politician once said, "There is no free lunch." All that "free money" comes with strings attached.
In other words, here's $10,000, vote the way I tell you or I take the $10,000 back.
