Here is a Judge that should be on the court!!! Integrity, courage, and standing up for his convictions!!

Subject: Judge Roy Moore

I checked this out on 'Truth or Fiction' and it is true... This is
wonderful.. and YES, let's all say a prayer for Judge Moore. Dottie

JUDGE ROY MOORE

Some of you may be wondering what Judge Roy
Moore has been doing since he was removed from the bench for refusing to
remove the 10 Commandments from his courtroom wall. Please read the poem
he wrote below..

Good Poem from Alabama judge sued by ACLU

The following is a poem written by Judge
Roy Moore from Alabama . Judge Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying
the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer. He has been stripped of his
judgeship and now they are trying to strip his right to practice law in
Alabama . The judge's poem sums it up quite well.

America the Beautiful,
or so you used to be.
Land of the Pilgrims' pride;
I'm glad they'll never see.

Babies piled in dumpsters,
Abortion on demand,
Oh, sweet land of liberty;
your house is on the sand.

Our children wander aimlessly
poisoned by cocaine,
Choosing to indulge their lusts,
when God has said abstain.

From sea to shining sea,
our Nation turns away
From the teaching of God's love
and a need to always pray.

We've kept God in our temples,
how callous we have grown..
When earth is but His footstool,
and Heaven is His throne.

We've voted in a government
that's rotting at the core,
Appointing Godless Judges
who throw reason out the door,

Too soft to place a killer
in a well deserved tomb,
But brave enough to kill a baby
before he leaves the womb.

You think that God's not angry,
that our land's a moral slum?
How much longer will He wait
before His judgment comes?

How are we to face our God,
from Whom we cannot hide?
What then is left for us to do,
but stem this evil tide?

If we who are His children,
will humbly turn and pray;
Seek His holy face
and mend our evil way:

Then God will hear from Heaven
and forgive us of our sins,
He'll heal our sickly land
and those who live within.

But, America the Beautiful,
if you don't - then you will see,
A sad but Holy God
withdraw His hand from Thee.

He has stood firm and needs our support.

I won't even touch this.

I won't go on to say that religion has caused just as many problems as it has done good, or that this judges poem is clearly showing that he should be canned.

Nope not touching this one.

He's NOT a judge anymore...so let's just call him Mr. Roy Moore.

Mr. Moore would have us legislate morality...problem is, God knows what is in our hearts...and anyone who reluctantly follows laws that are based on morality, and not civil principles, is not fooling God...he's only fooling Man...and Man is not the final arbiter in Heaven.

The biggest fallacy in his arguement assumes that the drafters of the Constitution drafted a PERFECT document...contrary to this misguided belief, the drafters were IMPERFECT men who inserted the religious references solely because that was what their backgrounds dictated. If they had all been Muslims, we would see IN ALLAH WE TRUST...if they had been Buddhists, we would most likely see IN BUDDHA WE TRUST. To put so much stock in the religious references is to negate the religious freedoms of other religious organizations here in America...if you legislate Judeo-Christian beliefs, you force those who don't subscribe to those religions to follow rules that may directly conflict with their own deeply-held beliefs...which again conflicts with freedom of religion principles here in the US.

This is a political thread anyway you look at it...so I expect that it will be locked sooner or later! The clock is ticking!!! :lol:

I do love a good omlette.

I like the Western version with Steak, bacon, eggs, cheese, salsa, hell stuff some hashbrowns in there a few onions bell peppers..........
