She just misunderstood you, Ned...when you said rod and reel, she thought rod/winder...then mixed up with Rottweiler...see, just a simple mistake....LOL"Mikecarter81" wrote:
Sorry Ned,
I work in the field, people don't alweays understand the biological components of mental illness, plus the stigma associated with it.
i hope she gets the help she needs.

Thanks for the supportive words there Mike.
You are correct, most people don't take the time to learn, or try to understand, just what makes some people tick or not tick...
Like I said, my aunt is a wonderfull woman, when she takes care of herself.
But when she doesn't, even I don't want to be around her.
Just for a little idea of how she can be, and much different from this episode, last Christmas she gave me a stuffed dog ( Rotwiller) for Christmas.
Hell, I'm going on 47 years old in a couple of weeks. Last thing I need is a stuffed dog for Christmas....To make it even worse, she is loaded with money and a single woman ( never married), and just a few weeks before Christmas she asked me what I wanted.
I told her, anything to do with fishing, like maybe a nice fishing pole......
But this just goes to show, how some peoples minds just don't work correctly..
I'll have to go and visit her tomorrow and support her, she is still my Dads sister and my Aunt...
But SERIOUSLY, I hope that she gets the help that she needs...just keep showing her the love and support...and let her know that we all are rooting for her!BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

Your right about the rollercoaster of depression and bi-polarism. I too have family that think they are "well" and stop taking the meducine, only to drift deep back into darkness. They need your love and support. Your Aunt is in my thoughts Ned, you too brother.

Sorry to hear about this Ned, hopefully she'll get the help needed. Least you're stepping forward to provide and support - all the best to you for that mate
