Airport blocks some Internet sites
Quote:
DENVER - Travelers using Denver International Airport's free Wi-Fi service cannot visit Internet sites that airport officials consider provocative.......
..........Critics say the airport is using the same technology used by repressive regimes in Sudan and Kuwait.

They are in a no win situation here.
Do they let the customers hit any site no matter what the content or do they worry about the mothers who will be sitting next to them with children who shouldn't see that kindof stuff.
My solution would be to just shut the access off so that no one had it and no one would get offended by someone accessing it or being mad cause they could access sites.
Re: Airport blocks some Internet sites
If your sitting in the middle of a busy airport, why would you need to be looking at provactive sites in the first place...granted you can just to down to one of the news stands in the terminal and pickup the latest copy of Vanity Fair or hell... even Playboy or Penthouse for that matter.
Seems silly that they restrict the internet access, but not the magazine racks.

As long as they keep their smoking bar I could care less what they do with the internet. ;D

They just added another smoking bar too!
Now they have one in B and C concourses that I know of.
Plus this free WiFi is great for me since I travel through there regularly.
Last time I tried they wanted like 5 bucks.
Bastads.
