Who sings that "Go, Cubs, Go" song?
Late Chicago songwriter and folk singer Steve Goodman.

Who also wrote David Allan Coe's "You Never Even Call Me By My Name"...the greatest country song ever written (the lyrics say so just before the last verse of the song)!

He also wrote "A Dying Cubs Fan Last Request", which is a must-listen if you ever want to understand Cubs fans.

His most famous song, however, is probably the one that Arlo Guthrie made famous: "The City of New Orleans".

Yeah, I figured that if you knew enough to know that he wrote the DAC song, you'd know his most famous song, too. I threw that bit in for anyone else reading this thread.

The main point of my post was to post that youtube vid of "A dying Cubs fan's last request". I love that song.

Memo to Aramis Ramirez and Derek Lee:

When the catcher drops the third strike, and it goes all the way to the wall....RUN TO FIRST BASE! At least make them throw the ball. We had already saw them sail one ball into the stands. Maybe they'd do it again. This is the playoffs. Base runners come at a premium, especially against their ace. Play like you mean it.

Re: 99 things every Cubs fan should know

Memo to Ryan Theriot...You generally don't swing at ball 4 on a 3-1 count and ground into a double play and then do the same thing twice!!

What a terrible hitting display we put on in these 3 games. Aramis"Lazy Prick" Ramirez could give a shit less that we just got eliminated from the playoffs as long as he is getting paid same goes for Alfonso Soriano...At least Soriano actually gets frustrated after he strikes out, A-Ram just laughs it off.

Not a very good display of fundemental baseball by the Cubs...Cant even get the runner over to 3rd base!

Lou Pinella way to put in Carlos Marmol in a inexpirenced rookie that has never pitched in the playoffs instead of Zambrano who was pitching a gem. Way to leave Ted Lilly in a extra inning to get rocked instead of pinch hitting for him and possibly getting some runs. Way to pitch Lilly and 3 days rest also.

WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR I GUESS!!

Actually im just gonna quit watching the Cubs if Ryan Theriot is our starting SS next year
