9/11
Doesn't seem like it was that long ago. Still very much remember that day, and the chaos and confusion of what was happening. Thinking it was a small plane that just happened to be flying to low and hit the WTC to finding out it was a jumbo jet that hit the towers, and then anothe rjet hit the other one, turned on teh TV just seconds before the second one hit.

Re: 9/11
May the victims of the attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and those who crashed in Shanksville rest in peace.
May the plotters and hijackers burn in hell.
And the rest of the world who watched stop politicizing the incident and insulting the loss of those whose lives were taken that day 8 years ago.
Many thanks to the first responders, specifically to the FDNY.

Re: 9/11
I was working in teh mpls school system at the time and my Boss came and said if I hear abouit the plane crashing into the building I said no but we turned on CNN seconds before teyh second plane hit and just the confusion when everyone realized it was a big plane and appeared to be nmo accident.
We had a emergency meeting in teh priociples office and I had to go around to each teachers classroom and expalin what had happened, and if parents came to get their children they were allowe dto take them but try to keep treaching as normal. The school I was at was right next to a hospital so we had Tons of police and fire departmnets around our building on emergency alert. It was really scary

Re: 9/11
I was unemployed (caring for my brother and sister) my brother had passed away in July, my sister passed away the following week and my in-laws hit a train in Iowa (they both survived).
Watching this on television over and over again put into a clinical depression that lasted about three months before I was able to snap out of it and get on with life.
Images are still vivid in my mind.

Re: 9/11
First and foremost Thanks to all who post in this thread as we must NEVER forget this day!
We have to remind everyone about the good and bad as well.
The way America banded together after this was truely remarkable.
The great loss of both civil servants and the innocent, along with changing the landscape of America forever will be ingrained in our memory always.
We will certainly never be the same again..............

Re: 9/11
While the terrorists may have caused mayhem and utter dismay for a day, every 9/11 I feel that this country gains a newfound sense of patriotism that strengthens this nation.
9/11 was arguably the most horrific day in American history but through this day, the nation gains a more and more unification that if nothing else, makes us stronger."There are 3 things that sell in America:
Violence, sex, and drugs.
The only way you are going to make this game more appealing to the public than it was before is if there are on field orgies at halftime and the domes become massive opium dens."

JEFFERSON COUNTY  The Jefferson County sheriff has offered a stern response to a woman complaining she was inconvenienced by a procession accompanying a soldier's casket.
The woman wrote an e-mail to Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer after she had a hard time driving around the procession escorting the casket of Sgt. William Woods, who was killed by Taliban fighters in Afghanistan.
