'Twas da night before Chrismus', when all true da house,
Farve bleed'n out in my bat-tub; 2 shots in da mout.
Da Lions were hung in da cellar wit care,
In hopes the 1st round soon would be der;
Da Bears were hiding under der beds,
Hiding from my baseball bat, cuz I would bash in der heads;
My mamma in her 'buthcher apron, and I in my cap,
Had just settled down for a night of much whack,

Den out on da lawn,der was sumting da matter,
I sprang from da bat-troom to see what's da matta!
Away to da window I flew like a cap,
Tore open da buglar bars and hid all da cash.

Da Vikings on da lawn, with da new-fallen snow?
It gave me a woodie, I swear to Gawd it did grow!,
Den, what to my wondrin eyes should appear,
But Chester Taylor, and 45 players in football gear,

Wit a little coach so skinny, a moustache so thick,
I knew in a moment it must be Brad Childress.
Moved here from da eagles, his players they came,
And he talked behind a playcard, and called dem by name:

"Now, JOHNSON! now, BIRK! now, SHARPER and GRIFFIN!
On, WINFIELD! on LEBER! on, WILLIAMS and WIGGINS!
To da top of der game! to the top of this wall!
Now win away! win away! win away them ALL!"
