I don't see a problem with it. The kid sounded like he was out of control, and with laws these days, just physically restraining him could get the school in trouble. If he was 10 years older he probably would have been tasered. Might as well learn now.

Someone is gonna get taken to court over this one.

I still remember a few things from you younger school days......

    a.
St Josephs Catholic School, 2nd grade, Sister Pollete and her wooden pointer.
    Knuckle killer.
    b.
Mizpah MN, grade school, 6th grade, can't remember the prinicaples name but he had a board of education that would get your attention.

    WOW.
And the last thing you wanted to happen was for your parents to find out about that stuff cause you got it again when you got home.
    ;D
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

I was thinking the same thing as you and PurplePackerEater. And the nuns were killers. Sr. Alice broke a yardstick over my friend's ass...they knew exactly where to grab and twist the hair at your temple to get maximum effect.

The handcuffs were used by the priests...oh that's bad.

Re: 5-year old handcuffed in school

Probably shouldn't have been hand cuffed, but they are totally over reacting. It pretty much sounds like they told the kid he is a victim, but he was out of controll and not for the first time. Then the mother asks him if he wants to go back to school and he says no, so he doesn't go, that's messed up.
ADD is real, but it is not an excuse for misbehaving.

    I misbaheved throughout school.
The Principle would call me to the office when ANYTHING happened.
As he said "You either did it or you know who did it".
I thought that was totally unfair, maybe true but unfair none the less 8)
