I have to say that The Exorcist is the scariest one on that list, at least that I've seen. The Exorcist scared the daylights out of me the first time I saw it. I think it's a very good movie, but it's just one of those that is really creepy.

Heeeeeeerrrrres Johnny!
 That's such a great moment.
That's the funny thing about a lot of those movies. Each of them are scary in their own right, but they all have one really memorable moment that just scares the crap out of you. Halloween has that music, The Omen has that part where Damien's nanny hangs herself going "It's all for you Damien!", The Exorcist has the pea soup part (although just the LOOK of that scary bitch freaks me out), The Shining has the Heeeeere's Johnny! part...and the list goes on and on.
I'm usually not a big scary movie fan, just because I don't like all of the unnecessary gore, but when you get a horror movie that has a psychological twist to it (like the exorcist or the shining) then I'll love it.

Danny? Would you like to play...forever and ever and ever.

The last scary movie that actually scared me was The Ring.
That girl was crazy. Coming out of that TV...and the video they would watch was just freaky.

It was "The Legend of Hell House" for me.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre is second, but only the original version! The new cut has a scene deleted that has not returned, even in the supposed "uncut" version.

Only one on the list I've seen is Jaws, and I didn't even think it was really scary. I don't watch scary movies at all!

Alien was pretty tense.

When Jaws came out, i guess it was really scary just because it was so real looking at the time. My mom told me she jumped and spilled all her popcorn at one point in the movie cause she got scared so bad. lol. I think it was the part where the guy is searching the sunken boat and the dead guys arm pops out of no where.
