    1000th post for 6-KINGS

Well I can't believe I am at 1000 posts already.

My have the threads been fun.
I put together a little(really it is long) poem about my 1000th post.

Yeap I have too much time on my hands.
Sorry I didn't use as many names in this poem as I wanted too.
But let face it some of you guys have names that won't rhyme.

    1000th post of 6-KINGS

Listen my children and you shall hear
Of the 1000 post of 6-KINGS here.

    On the twentysixth of September, in two thousand and five;
Why hardly a post of his, be now alive

He remembers that famous day this year.
He said to Del Rio, "Beware if Packers come here"

By ground or by air from their town to-night,
Hang a lantern aloft in the PPO site.

    One if by land, and two if by air;
And I on the opposite shore, is where I dare,

Ready to ride and spread the alarm
Through every Viking village and farm,

The message I have will bring no harm,
It's for Viking fans to be up, and to arm!"

Then he said "Skol!" and with muffled roar
Then Silently rowed to the Wisconsin shore,

Just as the moon rose over the bay,
There docked at her moorings lay,The Green Bay.

A sissy ship, with fan and of sheep
Lit by the moon, like a prison shower greet,

And a tiny green and yellow man,
that was magnified By his own reflection,
and a cheesehead in his hand.

Meanwhile, my friend Shockzilla runs through the streets,
He Wanders and watches, so eager to beat,
Till in the silence of "the haters" gives him a treat.

The muster of VKE4LFE at the barrack door,
The sound of arms, and the yell of the Viking corps,

And the measured tirade of Sir Ultra, was more,
Marching down to his boats to meet the corp.

Then 6-Kings climbed the tower of the Viking Church,
By the wooden stairs, where the lurkers perched,

    To the PPO chamber overhead,
And startled the lurkers and crushed their threads.

On the somber packer boards, of sport he made
Masses of crying cheddarheads talked of "the day",--

By the posting ladder, steep and tall,
To the highest poster of them all.

Where he bowed for Cajun and looked around.
A time of silence in "title town"

After weeks of play, no win could be found.
And the Purple moonlight covered the ground.

Beneath, in the yard, lay the packers in death,
In their night encampment of no hope and dread,

Wrapped in silence so deep and still,
That he could hear, Favre retire and chill.

The watchful Itrey, as it went
Creeping along from tent to tent,
And seeming to whisper, "All is well!"
A moment when he feels the Great Viking spell.

Of the place and the hour, and the lonely chedderhead,
    Of the lonely packers and their Viking dread;

Then suddenly his thoughts are of purple and gold,
On the shadowy gloom, that the 6-KINGS foretold.

Where the river widens to meet the bay,--
A line of PPO faithful rise today.

And boast of Vikings kicking you back.
"your days in the North are finished at last!"

Meanwhile impatient, ready to ride, stood Webby
Booted and spurred, with a Purple Prideful stride.

And on the opposite shore walked the KING of 6.
Who on his horse, loaded his bag of tricks

Now he gazed at the landscape far and near,
Then, said SKOL to everyone loud and clear,

    He turned and tightened his saddle at girth;
But mostly he watched with eager search

The Viking tower of the North Church,
As it rose above the dead packers who lie in the dirt,

Lonely and spectral, somber and still.
Stood one packer fan, he was ready to kill.

And lo! as he look, on the Vikings height
A glimmer, and then a gleam, of purple light!

He springs to the saddle, the bridle he turn,
But lingers and gazes,as a second lamp in the tower burns.

A hurry of hoofs in Viking village streets,
A shape in the moonlight, a Demonic Viking begins to speak.

And beneath, from the pebbles, in passing, a spark
    Struck out by a his steed flying fearless, with heart;

That was all! And yet, through the gloom and the light,
    The fate of his Team was riding that night;

And the spark that struck out by his steed,
Kindled the land into flame, he knew they'd believe.

He has left the village and mounted the steep,
And beneath him, tranquil, purple and deep,

Is the Mystic, beating the trolls??
How about Anglo, Skol Anglo Skol!

Now soft on the sand, now loud on the ledge,
Is heard the Viking horn, signally the packers are dead.

It was twelve by the village clock
When he crossed the bridge, into Paul town non stop.

He heard the bellowing of the Prophet, on high.
And the singing of a Viking Babe, Purple til she dies!

He felt the chill of a troll nearby,
So he raised his sword and said goodbye.

It was one by the village clock,
    When he galloped into Minneapolis.
    He saw some withered packers,
    pleading "no not us!"

And the packer meeting-house, now windows are black and bare,
They gaze at 6-KINGS with a spectral glare,

As if they already stood aghast
At how 6-KING took them to task.

It was two by the village clock,
When he came to the bridge in Edin town.
When he heard the bleating of the packer clowns,
And the twitter of trolls among the trees,
And felt the breath of the purple morning breeze

Blowing over the meadow, purple with life.
He raised his sword and began to smite.

And Vikings were safe and asleep in bed
Who at the bridge, would be first to be dead?
Who that day would be lying just passed?
Pierced by a Viking sword and taken to task.

You know the rest. In the books you have read
How the Packers trolls, first fired and fled,---
How the Vikings gave them eye for eye,
How Webby can cast them aside.
Chasing the cheeseheads down the lane,
Then crossing the fields to emerge again
Under the trees at the turn of the road,
And only pausing to fire and reload.

    So through the night rode the King I said;
Yelling his cry of, the packers are dead!
To every Viking village and farm,---
A cry of defiance, a cry of no harm,

A voice in the darkness, a knock at the door,
And a word that shall echo for evermore!
For, borne on the night-wind of the Past,
Through all our history, right to the last,

In the hour of darkness and peril and need,
The Vikings did waken to listen, and heed.

The 1000 post of 6-KINGS is here.
And the midnight message of 6-Kings is clear.
