Cute.
I've heard of a few really odd ones as well.
I believe in Alabama, it is illegal to walk your alligator on the sidewalk.
Goats are not allowed to vote in Colorado.
If a fire wagon breaks down in Rhode Island, civilians are required to help push it to the site of the fire.
And the ice cream sundae was invented because at one time it was illegal to serve ice cream sodas on Sunday in Massachusetts. They were considered to be immoral beverages.
In England you could kill a Scotsman with an arrow from the walls of Berwick on Tweed and also if you were killed by an arrow on a Sunday that was tough because it was archery practice day
Strangest law that is still enforced(atleast in how it relates to tax code).
609.34 FORNICATION.
When any man and single woman have sexual intercourse with each other, each is guilty of fornication, which is a misdemeanor.

Back in 1967 or so, California cleared a lot of dubious "laws" off the books. My favorite was, "If two cars meet on a mountain road, both shall stop and neither shall move until the other is past."???? I always wondered if there were two cars on some mountain road, each pulled to the side while two skeletons waited for the other to break the law. :silly:

Interesting that it specifies "single" for the woman, but not the man. I guess having an affair with a married woman doesn't count?Quote:
