    Too Many Bowl Games?

I was looking at the list of bowl games.
There are a ton of them.
Medicore teams with .500 records playing in some lame wad bowl game.

Then you have teams like Wake Forest playing in a BCS bowl game because they won their conference.
They are ranked #15 in the AP and #14 in the BCS.
But, Wisconsin is #6 in the AP and #7 in the BCS and they do not get a BCS bowl game?

I think there are way too many bowl games and I read that they want even more.
What's the purpose of a 6-6 team like Miami, Minnesota, Iowa, or Florida State getting a bowl game, even though they are minor bowl games?

    Re: Too Mnay Bowl Games?

I really do think they need to change the rule about more than two teams not being able to go to BCS games.
I agree that there are way to many bowl games, and I also think advertising is getting out of hand with bowls like:

San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl

    Papajohns.com Bowl

    Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl

    Come on people.
The Rose Bowl almost seems tainted now that it is called the "Rose Bowl Presented by Citi".
    When does it end?

The large amount of bowl games is all about the $$$$$.
Its almost like everything is about the money these days and no body cares about the teams playing in them.

It's kind of nice, though, having a game on almost every single day between now and New Year's.

The reason I don't like so many bowl games and the NFL playoffs starting is that if you are a football fan you are in sports heaven.
Then you crash and burn when it all ends and are stuck enduring the long offseason.
    Enjoy it while it lasts.

I think that they have a pretty good number of bowl games. I just wish that they could keep some of the old names like; The Blue Bonnet Bowl or The Tangerine Bowl (now called the Capital Bowl), and other cool names.
