Brady Quinn did NOT look like a QB deserving of being the #1 overall pick in the draft. Jemarcus Russell (SP?) on the other hand, throws a nice ball, and looked like he was making a strong push to take the #1 spot....if he comes out. I guess I've just never been a real big Brady Quinn fan.
That is why I have Russell penciled in at #1 for the Raiders.
Still need to find out if he is gonna come out this year, but think he is more of a Raiders/Al Davis kindof pick that Quinn.
I see the Lions getting Quinn.
Still pretty early for all of this, but love to speculate.

Re: Notre Dame loses 9th straight Bowl game

I watched this game with a couple of Notre Dame fans. Comments I heard:

"Of course they'll flag Notre Dame! They won't throw a flag on LSU but they'll see every little thing that Notre Dame does!"

I think that any Notre Dame fan that complains about officiating is on crack. They get more love from the refs than most teams.

"Charlie just doesn't get it. He never has and he never will."

Once again, any Notre Dame fan complaining about Charlie Weis's coaching ability is on crack. That team won 11 games in two years before he took over and now they're back to being a top 15 program. Not to mention the fact that he's probably one of the best play callers around and was at least partially reponsible for 2 Super Bowl wins and the development of Tom Brady when he was with the Patriots.

    "Bench Quinn. He's awful."

Now I agree that Quinn didn't have a very good game last night, but the guy can still play. It's not like EVERY scout and prognosticator has overestimated his talent as a first round pick. He's still one of the top 3 or 5 quarterbacks in college football.

There are very few things worse than a Notre Dame fan when they're losing.

    Anyway...new thought.

I say we hire LSU's coach as our offensive coordinator.
;D That guy called a GREAT game and his first drive was spectacular play calling.

They ran about two conventional plays their entire first drive and really turned Notre Dame around in circles. They ran a few screens, a QB draw, a reverse...and then when they had the defense on their heels they hit them with a conventional pass play which they scored on.

I thought it was brillaint play calling because it got Notre Dame's secondary, which is bad anyway, on their heels right off the bat.

    Great candidate.

I would also like to see Jim Mora come in to be the OC.
If B-chill continues to underachieve then we have our HC in place already.

    Good Job Notre Dame.
I am happy about the loss.
The Gophers won't look that bad now losing a 31 point lead.

Now the Gators on the other hand, thats a real team!
Well, where the heck were you a few weeks ago?

Nope, Gophers are still the embarrassment of the decade.

No kidding, if I were a Gophers fan I would have burned all my stuff and gone into hiding.

My third favorite team every week in college FB is the team playing Notre Dame...good job LSU.
Second favorite team every week is the team playing Florida...go Ohio State; Gator tastes just like chicken!

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent
