I see him in Miami unless they feel they can go with Beck, who is also pretty decent.
I have a feeling Atlanta will take Brohm because of Petrino. We could land Ryan, but it may require a tradeup... unless we suck really bad and go 3-13 or 4-12... or god forbid 2-14.
I subscribe to NFL Draft Scout and he is how they broke down the QB's by projected round.
Andre Woodson, Kentucky - 1
Matt Ryan, Boston College - 1
Brian Brohm, Louisville - 1
Chad Henne, Michigan - 2
Dennis Dixon, Oregon - 2-3
Josh Johnson, San Diego - 2-3
Erik Ainge, Tennessee - 2-3
John David Booty, USC - 3
Colt Brennan, Hawaii - 3
Matt Flynn, LSU - 3-4

Agreed Ned.
Mel Kipper said on ESPN yesterday that Ryan would be the first QB to go in the draft next year, and could start for many NFL Teams if need be.....But if TJ doesn't prove himself worthy by seasons end, I'de rather see us target a proven vet to take charge next season.
But thats getting way to far ahead for me right now......Still alot of season left boys and girls..
The Vikings have to much talent to wait for a quarterback to develop.
If we were to draft a quarterback in the first round and not sign a veteran free agent we would be no better off than we are now.

Our pick looks to be top 5.
I wonder if they'd accept a 1st and 2nd in the 2009 draft instead of a 1st and 3rd in 2008?
Just wishful thinking I guess.

An NFL QB wouldn't get away with running backwards and side to side all the time. Most of those plays, he would have been sacked for a big fat loss.
Have I ever told you what an outstanding humanitarian I am?

I think Ryan will be a good nfl QB and hope we get him, and I have a gut feeling about Ainge as well, could be a steal
