If you'd like add another team that will always let you down to your repertoire I highly recommend the University of Colorado Buffaloes. But I have to warn you that the football program just hasn't been the same since they stopped actively recruiting gang members. Now the coach just brings in his talentless son to play QB.
My other favorite team is Navy. How can you not like them? Plus Ricky Dobbs is a badass.
LOL the Hawkins bunch. I used to play baseball with Cody. He was a pretty good qb in high school. College ball just doesn't seem to be going his way.

Actually I think they do have a team but I would guess most american high schools would trah them in a game but they try hard.Mark_The_Viking wrote:

If you must watch anyway, keep an open mind this season and root for any team you feel deserving of your support.
Make up your own mind and never trust on knuckleheads for advice.
sounds like good advice. I'll check out SEC teams, I'm not all about winning just makes it more interesting to watch when you have a stake in the proceedings.
Z wheres the nearest college team to Portsmouth England?
Looks like you're going to be cheering for the University of Maine, according to Google Maps.

Gotta go with my good friend JMC's idea.Pick the closest team to where you were born, always worked for me.
I don't follow college ball much, mostly cause its just to damn hard to follow the Gophers. I have been, however, watching a bit of Hookie ball as they are close and I can get to see thier games.
Add to that the fact that alot of our local boys make the team and it adds a bit more familiarity/ownership/pride in them for me.
Heck, Wildwoman and I are even talking about driving up for a game this year. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Wouldn't you "drive over" to get to Blacksburg? A "drive up" would more like a trip to Charlottesville.jmcdon00 wrote:

Re:Need a Team to Support
Ah, but Marty lives closer to the coast, so technically he'd be driving "up" as VT is at a higher elevation
