I don't know that Lou "used" us. He told the hiring committee straight up that the only team he would ever leave Minnesota for was Notre Dame. And he did exactly that.

could never get it done in the big ten, which is why he sucked as a football coach..gophers really didnt win a big, or meaningful game in his time there, so it was time to let him go

bring in a big time, established coach for both the football, and basketball (think bobby knight or rick majerus) programs

KFAN is talking about they should offer Dungy a major contract and give him the job..

But i think they will settle for Mike Tice :> Haha

I think Tice would be a better head coach in college than he would be in the pros and he already stated if the Gophers contact him he will listen to the offer.

I am just so happy that Mason is gone and no I don't want the defense coordinator to be the head coach the defense has sucked since he has been there and we finished 115th in defense this year.

My choice would be Frank Solich the only draw back is that he is in his early 60's and how long does he want to continue coaching, but he would be the best coach out of the candidates that I have seen.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

I love Rick Majerus, but it seems he had too much stress as a coach, the overeating that is.

I always thought he was a good coach.
If he is up to the pressure of the big ten, maybe he could do it.
