I'm not really up on college football, especially Gopher football... but was this firing due to the Gopher's poor season or throwing away that huge lead in the Bowl game?
Time spent annoying a Packer fan is never time wasted...

    Its Minnesota.

They will not attract big time coaches.

diagree its a chance to coach in the Big Ten, MN or not its a excellent opportunity right now, new stadium, and they would have a svery solid fan base when they start winning and putting a decent, competitve team on the feild

Too bad Maturi was a year too late on firing both Monson and Mason!

He had better not blow these 2 new hriings!

    The embarrassment to Texas Tech!

How can you go out and recruit after that. "Do you want to play for me, we will choke away games and finish one game above or below .500 every season."

Who was it, Mich St a few years ago that came back on us in the dome.
He should have been let go after that game.

He barely beat NDSU (or UND?)!

Sorry Mason, your jar has been Canned!

Don't you think that MN should fire him too?

He resigned Mason, now they have to pay him. Kick Maturi to the curb too.
