LSU supplies 7 players in '08 draft

    Bastards.
Will help their recruiting efforts in the SEC.

Chiefs 1 5 Glenn Dorsey DT 6-2 303 LSU Kansas City has so many holes to fill and was reluctant to make a trade with the Saints, who desperately wanted Dorsey. More

Falcons 3 68 Chevis Jackson CB 5-11 188 LSU Speaking of Jackson, there he goes. Though he only ran a 4.6 40 at his Pro Day, he's a producer, and could end up being a very solid pro.

Chargers 3 69 Jacob Hester RB 6-0 224 LSU San Diego must have really loved Hester, giving up a future second-round pick to get him. With Michael Turner now in Atlanta, Hester should get some time backing up L.T.

Cardinals 3 81 Early Doucet WR 6-1 210 LSU Many draftniks pegged Doucet as the nation's top pro prospect at wideout entering this season. After a nagging injury slowed him down all year, he slips all the way to 81. Great value pick.

Bears 4 120 Craig Steltz S 6-1 209 LSU The LSU star didn't test great at the combine, but had as solid a college career as you could ever ask for. Chicago scoops up a fantastic leader and a heavy hitter in Steltz. At number 120, this is a great pick up.

Packers 7 209 Matt Flynn QB 6-1 227 LSU Flynn joins Brian Brohm as rookie quarterbacks in Green Bay. The quarterback of the 2007 champion LSU Tigers, Flynn has a good arm, decent size, and incredible leadership skills. Could be a really nice pro. I pegged him as this year's Mr. Irrelevant, he goes 43 picks earlier.

Falcons 7 232 Keith Zinger TE 6-4 250 LSU A Kyle Brady-type blocking tight end, not the fastest guy. Rarely got the rock at LSU, but was a solid blocker and character guy.

ALL they have to do is keep the in-state blue chippers and it's all good.
THAT is Les Miles's biggest challenge.
