Thread: Gophers get top punter

"Scout.com" is reporting that the Minnesota Gophers have picked up the top punter in the nation.

Brookfield (Wisc.) Central punter Bradley Nortman (6-3, 210) has made his collegiate choice.

"Bradley has committed to Minnesota," said Chris Sailer of Chris Sailer Kicking. "He is a very talented punter and we have him ranked the #1 high school punter in the nation at this point."

Nortman, an all-state pick in 2006, excelled at Sailer's Kicking Camp earlier this year.

"Bradley has more natural punting potential than anyone in the nation in the class of 2008," said Sailer. "He is big, tall, strong, and a great athlete. Potential punters like this don't come along often."

The best part is we stole him from Wisconsin!

The gophers are up on the badgers late in the fourth, the Gophs will be punting it away near their own end zone.

Maybe they were right.
I know he already got his son to change his commitment to the U of M.

Actually, the Gopher football team has done a pretty good job of recruiting. They have picked up One 4 Star player, four 3 Star Players, and two 2 star players. And it looks like they are on the verge of getting one of the top prospects in the country, Michael Floyd, a receiver from St. Paul (MN) Cretin-Derham Hall

I started up this year as a season ticket holder. I was one in school for 4 years but have not been for about 5 years. Should be a awesome season. I mainly purchased thm to get 1st dibs on the season tickets once the new stadium opens up. All the typical minnesota bandwagon fans will come out of the woodwork once that stadium opens up and it will be extremely tough to get tickets at that point I am thinking.Nothing beats outdoor football and tailgating!
