Re: Flippen Gophers
plain and simple Mason is a complete embarrasement to the school and the program. That is a prime example of why I stopped supporting the Gohers this year and will continue to not support them as long as Mason is the Coach.
Mason needs to go now. Hopefully he will take the dignified way out and resign on his own. honestly he desrves to fired. Hopefully the boosters will see that Mason is a joke and put some pressure on to get him out.

Re: Flippen Gophers
I was sad that they couldn't show the highlights on ESPN. I was riding in a cab last night in Minneapolis and I heard on the CB radio "Man, the Gophers are killing em. 28-0."
I was like, "Wow! That's gonna be a blow out." Then it turns out the way it did...ugh.

Re: Flippen Gophers
Mason is a joke and he needs to go.
My question is who will the Gophers get?
Do you think a Grade A coach would want to come to Minnesota? Why? The weather isn't good, the univeristy doesn't support the team, and the univeristy hangs there own in scandals.
The same goes for recruiting.
Why would a kid want to go to Minnesota and play when he can go to USC, UCLA, Florida, or even texas.
The team isn't supported by the state or the univeristy.
My whole point is the U of M doesn't get it.
They think raising tuition is the answer.
Its not.... Support your sport teams and have them advertise for you.
You will get tons of money on events, merchandise, and free recruiting.
Don't believe me? Look at Florida, University of Miami, South, Carolina, Auburn, Texas, and Georgia.
All of which are a lot cheaper than the U of M and just as good. Thats why it will be just as depressing in the future for the U of M.

The cream of the crop in MN go elsewhere.
For instance, the best Ohio players are playing for OSU and the best Texas players play for Texas.
MN is not a football school.
Now, it is a hockey school.

I'm just happy Rutgers destroyed KSU after all the trash their fans were taking. Did anyone here how fast their Freshman WR<who is ironically named Tim Brown, is? Runs the 40 in 4.27

Re: Flippen Gophers
Sorry UltraVikingfan with all the respect in the world.... I understand your view but I feel it is more of an excuse then a reason to admit we need change. Your argument that Minnesota doesn't have quality players is not valid.
Where was Marion Barber from?
He and Maroney said they felt disrespected by Mason and the school.
Established programs? This isn't true.....
What about Rutgers? Louisville? Arkansas? Boise State? West Virginia? Wake Forest? All of those schools are in the top 25.
Keep on denying that the U of M and Minnesota doesn't support its programs.
All I have to say is..... Don't point the finger Minnesota, point the thumb.
We have to think outside the box on this one.

Dammit.
32-31...
Well, its better than 32-0.
But it sure isn't Rose Bowl worthy.
Let's get it together, Brewster...-Sno
