    Eric Bienemy

Not only am I a Vikings fan, I'm also an alum and fan of the University of Colorado and as some of you will know, Bienemy is kind of a legend at CU as a player. But this post is a question about Eric Bienemy the coach.

Sounds like Hawkins is out and CU is looking for a new head coach. Some are suggesting EB, I have my own opinions but they may be a little bias so I was wondering what the board thought? Would he make a good college head football coach?

On a side note, has his name come up with the Gophers at all?

I apologize if this should be in the college football boad instead, wasn't sure where to post it.

    thanks

You will find very mixed views on EB around here. Some credit him for curing Peterson's fumblitis, while others blame him for not teaching proper blocking and downfield vision.

I have no opinion one way or the other on his coaching skills, but I will say that I don't think he has enough experience to take on a HC position just yet. He has not even been a coordinator.

College coaches do not make good NFL coaches. Would not be a good fit for us. Not experienced enough.

He's already an NFL coach. He's asking about him potentially becoming a college head coach.

Jimmy Johnson and Bill Walsh are two that might not fit that statement.

I hope he goes to CU hes an idiot just like his boss...12 man NFC championship....As for curing ADs fumbles give credit to AD on that... I do want EB to go back to Colorado where he was a legend in his own mind that way The Sooners get to pound him once a year like we use to and AD will retract a little revenge on the pint size wannabe

I was so happy to wake up and find Hawkins was out. I hope he takes his son with him.

I really don't know if Bienemy could cut it as a head coach yet. I'd like to see him have some more time as a coordinator at least before taking over head coaching duties. That being said, almost anyone is a step up from Hawkins.

That blown 28-point lead against Kansas where they decided to air it out instead of keeping it on the ground and running down the clock....

I don't get many CU games to see what is contributing to the continuation of this train wreck. With the terrible state of the program right now bringing Bienemy in might boost morale among the fans, and maybe players, due to his legendary status there; however, I don't think the next HC is going to be given a lot of time to turn the program around. In other words they probably need someone who already has head coaching experience to give them a good kick in the ass. I've heard the athletic department is struggling financially, which could affect the level of talent they are able to bring in.

    Go Buffs!!

You do know you won't be playing them once a year anymore once they go to the Pac 10
