Re: Davies Suspended for Violating BYU Honor Code
Who here is naive enough to believe this is the only BYU athlete to ever have premarital sex?
I believe the odds are a lot less likely to find a athlete who's a virgin in college than they would finding one that's had sex.

Re: Davies Suspended for Violating BYU Honor Code
They suspended running back Harvey Unga last year who entered the supplemental draft and went to the Bears. The guys sign off on the code and if they get caught the school sticks with it.

Re: Davies Suspended for Violating BYU Honor Code
If every athlete at BYU that had pre-marital sex, voluntarily resigned from playing, BYU wouldn't have enough players to support any sport teams.

Re: Davies Suspended for Violating BYU Honor Code
That could be true, BYU is a different place being that it is a LDS church based campus heres a LINK to a couple of radio interviews with Jim McMahon and Ty Detmer.

Re: Davies Suspended for Violating BYU Honor Code
Even if that is true, doesn't change anything. This would only be a story if BYU didn't suspend the player. BYU enforcing it's policy is not news.

Re: Davies Suspended for Violating BYU Honor Code
Succumbing to natural urges that lead to consensual sex, OFFENSIVE. Not only should he be kicked out of school, he should go to prison for the rest of his life. Or just castrate the guy so he can never commit further unforgivable atrocities.
According to his profile on the BYU athletic site, he was also recruited by Utah, Gonzaga, Utah State, Cal Berkeley, Washington State, Penn State and Santa Clara.
Let's break this down. Pros of going to the two best alternatives and BYU listed:
Cal Berkeley: Weather, one of the best schools in the world, basketball, an enjoyable college experience.
Penn State: Good school, great sports, one of the best party schools in the country.
Brigham Young University: Good school, basketball.
Was he already breaking the honor code before he got there? cause he must've been shitfaced to make that decision.
