Clint Brewster dumps Illini, joins dad at U

    http://www.startribune.com/512/story/980749.html

I see this as a good and bad thing. If he does poor and doesn't take him out then it will be "its the coaches son" but at the same time had he not come then it would of been everyone questioning his ability to recruit.

I don't think it could really hurt us, the only way to go is up!

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

Here is our list of commitments. Wish there was some more of the top MN players on the list. But my new favorite name of all time is a recruit for the gophers.

    Oakland (CA) Laney College

    Ht: 5-foot-11
    Wt: 230 lbs

Gophers gets commits from three top QB's recruits in the country. Brewster is anywhere from the 8th to 15 ranked in the country depending on what reporting service you believe. He is also ranked in the top 45 players in the country on ESPN.
Looks like the U's athletic director wasn't lying when he said that Brewster is a great recruiter. According to ESPN the Gophers now have the 22nd best "draft" among all colleges. Last year they were 91st.
Now if Brewster can only coach.

I have to admit I was at first VERY skeptical about the hire. But the more reasearch I have done, I have come to think he will be greay for the program. If only he could get one of the 4 to change their mind and commit to the U it would be the "Icing " on the cakeSucks that the Fl Kids came on the coldest Weekend in like 5 years
