I like it. It's unique. We should play on a purple field.

Re: Boise St.
I was giving this some more thought, and I seem to remember the NFL dictating something about the anniversary logo and where it could be placed a few years back.
So my guess is that there is at least some rudimentary guidelines in place.
If any team decided to go crazy like Boise state, my guess is the NFL would step in.Zeus wrote:
When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

Re: Boise St.
I think the NFL rules and the College rules are a little different.
Boise probable uses it as a home field advantage like they do in baseball.

Re: Boise St.
Ironically, just today a Boise state alum. was on WEEI sports radio in Boston and he was asked about the blue field.
He stated the reason was, "To keep the cheerleaders from grazing."
I am not making this up, but you know he is.
He also stated he was aware of cases where unsuspecting birds have broken legs landing--mistaking the field for a pond!A good friend will help you move...a best friend will help you move a body.

Go BIG BLUE!!!! Sorry, know this is a day late but I ended up over celebrating last night and had to work early this morning. Gotta show my bsu pride! Our defense really stepped it up against tcu's highly ranked offense. Held them to only 38 rush yards when they averaged 250+ per game this season. Second fiesta bowl in 4 years!!! Now a viking superbowl victory will just top this year off.
