Re:THE BEST RIVALRY IN SPORTS IS...

I don't know if they're the greatest rivalries of all time but for me there are some games that are fun to watch even if I'm not a 'fan' of either team.
    Tarheels vs Duke
    Twins vs White Sox
    Vikings vs Packers
    Chargers vs Broncos
    Yankees vs Red Sox
    Buckeyes vs Wolverines
Steelers vs Ravens (had some killer games the last couple of seasons)
Twins vs Brewers (although it isn't what it used to be)

    Thanks Josdin

Tarheels vs Duke - NCAA Basketball
Twins vs White Sox - MLB
    Vikings vs Packers - NFL
    Chargers vs Broncos - NFL
Yankees vs Red Sox - MLB
    Buckeyes vs Wolverines NCAA Football
Steelers vs Ravens - NFL (had some killer games the last couple of seasons)
Twins vs Brewers - MLB (although it isn't what it used to be)

I don't watch enough hockey or basketball really to know any of the great rivals in those sports.
    basketball rivalry would be Lakers-Celtics
hockey rivalry would be Red Wings-Avalanche
    Ponder this....

Can't believe I forgot the Lakers Celtics rivalry. Didn't the Knicks and Heat have a pretty good rivalry going for awhile as well? I just remember something about Van Gundy getting into a schuffle and ending up hanging on to a player's ankle.

Only thing I know about hockey is the Wild are playing like crap and that Sid the Kid and Alex Ovenchkin (spg?) hate each other

    Thanks Josdin

3 weeks ago the wild were playing like crap. NOW they have the most points in the division, last 15 games or so. They just shut out the div. leading avs in denver and then won in calgary, which almost never happens.

I don't really know where avs v. red wings came from.

I also like watching rangers v. islanders
    celtics v. lakers
    vikes v. packers
    montreal v. ottawa
    raiders v. chargers
    Ohio state v. Michigan
    Florida v. Georgia

Didn't know about the recent hot streak. Just saw that the wild had the fewest points in the divison and figured that they were continuing to play poorly. Glad to hear that they're on some kind of roll.

avs-red wings is a rivalry...it was at its peak when the wings had yzerman and shanahan and the avs had sakic, forsberg and roy...its not as big now because the avs have been fairly irrelevant recently, even tho they seem to be turning it around this year
    Ponder this....

none of this even matters because THE Ohio State-Michigan rivalry is the greatest. don't let the recent one sideedness of it fool you
