ARMY NAVY Preview
http://www.sportsline.com/cbssports/story/11150522CBS Sports broadcasts the 109th meeting of the Army-Navy football classic, one of the greatest rivalries in all of sports, live from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pa (noon-3:30 p.m., ET).
Needless to say, because of were I work and having served in both services, I am a bit torn, but will have to stay true to the Blue and Gold today I think......
Some items of interest.

Re: ARMY NAVY Preview
Here is one I didn't know about.........
http://www.military.com/news/article...r.html?wh=newsThe "Running of the Game Balls" has been an Army-Navy tradition, like bonfires, pep rallies and pranks, since 1975. Navy's runners will start the 1241/2-mile journey today at noon. Vans will accompany both groups, helping speed their trips. Runners from the first Army van were scheduled to take turns with the ball until a 3 a.m. switch-off in North Jersey. A third van will take over this morning in Flemington, N.J. They will cross the Delaware River to New Hope, then make their way to Broad Street and the Linc.
Blue and Gold, Proud to Serve.......
Beat ARMY.... ;DMany many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

We went a few years ago and I froze my butt off. It was miserable and Navy won so I think that will be my first and last experience.
We do have a friend that is a graduate of the Naval Academy (about a 15 mile drive from here) and he and his wife have invited us to a few games and we have always enjoyed ourselves. You would think that the alumni would be a bunch of stiffs but they really know how to tailgate.
Anyway, it's a cool sight to see the Midshipmen march from the Academy through downtown Annapolis on their way to the stadium.

Re: ARMY NAVY Preview
We are thinking of going to DC this summer, for a family vacation and to see some friends/family. I didn't think there would be a better event to go to then fireworks on the mall for the 4th. As a navy vet., we may have to time it for the ARMY-NAVY game instead. Although that's unlikely, being we will have our kids with and they are still too young to go.
GO NAVY, BEAT ARMY!!! ;D
EDIT: There is no way we are going to the ARMY-NAVY game. It's december 12 in philly. Too cold, of course that's when it will be every year, so i'll probably never get to it.The ribbon is the 'Gulf War Ribbon'.

Re: ARMY NAVY Preview
The "sailors" should be too busy hot-racking and picking up powdered soap to play football games.
Despite them all being officers, I gotta keep it real.
