Florida's been a national power for way longer than Tebows been there, remember Spurrier? 6 SEC titles before him, and a championship in 96, They averaged 10+ wins all through the 90's, they are a top ten recruiter every year, he's surrounded by blue chip players, I wouldn't give him all the credit, 17 Florida players since 2006 have been drafted by the NFL,

That was over a decade ago. Florida went through several coaches (the last being Ron Zook) and haven't really been the championship team. They've had several players drafted, but only a couple have been any good. None of the QB's have ever been any good (Grossman, etc). I wouldn't consider the 7+ seasons before the 2006 championship team a "national power".

I think Lewis is just as good as Ingram, But (And this is what I hate about college football) since Alabama is in the SEC, They get way more TV exposure and their players get all the press. If he stays in school he'll be the rushing leader next year.

I can't believe I'm gonna say this but-Grossman was great when he was at Florida, 4 yrs, 4 bowls, runner up for Heisman, He stinks now yes, No team stays at the top every year, even Miami who was great for years have taken a downturn,
All I'm saying is Tebow's on a great team, with great recruits every year, and a great coach, He's in the perfect situation, Of course he's good, but certainly has benefited a lot by circumstances. I don't think he's the best individual player in college football, Do you think he'll make a good NFL QB? I don't think the right player is picked for the Heisman 1/3 of the time. It's whoever is benefiting most from the hype, and the college gameday guys for example. Yes he's a good QB.

I'm tired of the idiot experts picking Tebow and Ingram as the top Heisman prospects, It's an individual award, Only the top ranked teams can have players eligible?? Neither is the best at their position in any category, So they are rewarding good teams players more than the individuals that are having great years?

I'm sorry Culpepper, But there is so much wrong with that last post, Florida was a national power before Tebow, To say they weren't is crazy, If they do go to the championship game for the third time in four years it means they are a good team.

Tebow would not get 600 yds in any league, Do you really think he's a surgeon that would just dominate the air? He averages 180 yrds a game, 8th in his conference, I think if you put Keenum, Claussen, McCoy, Moore, on Florida (With their 20 blue chip recruits a year) They would be just as successful.


Tebow throws less passes than all but one starter in the SEC, and less than the top 40 QB's in college, He's a big talented running QB, surrounded by tons of talent, Floridas talent made Rex Grossman look good while he was there, I just can't believe he's the best player in college football.

Golden Tate has 1500 yds, 15 TD's
Danario Alexander has 1644 yds, and 13 TD's

Running backs
Toby Gerhart 1736yds, 26 TD's 144yds a game
Donald Buckram 1590yds, 19 TD's 132 yds a game

Ingram 1429yds, 12 TD's and 119yds a game, Just because Alabama is ranked #2 shouldn't mean he's better than the 5 guys ahead of him in all RB stats

There are at least 4-5 QB's having better QB years, Moore from Boise St. is killing him in every category, and he's undefeated (And will almost for certain make a better QB in the NFL) Yeah I know they play a weaker schedule.

Now maybe the ass kissing "experts" can take their lips off Tebows ass long enough to talk about a real Heisman hopeful, For all the people who call him a genius, Urban Meyer ran the ball 4 times, yes I said 4 times the entire game, what kind of game planning is that?? They were the 6th highest team in rushing yards in the country and thought 4 rushes was good.huh??

I don't hate or even dislike him, But the Heisman award is for individuals, Not teams, Keenum, or Gerhert should win because they're having the best individual years by far.

Although I agree Suh is an animal, He has no stats, And we all know the Heisman voters want gaudy stats, He only has credit for 7 sacks and like 45 tackles (Before todays game) Only the glory positions win it, Lately it seems like only the players from the top 5 teams are in the running, Which is ridiculous, Keenum is killing the other QB's in all the main QB stats (and Houston is 10-2)

McCoy-152QB rating, 72% completion, 3200yds, 27-9 TD INT

It's all hype now with college gameday, ESPN, and the other "experts" spending so much time brainwashing us on who should win. If Gerharts 26TD's and 1700yds don't win because he plays for Stanford than the Heisman is a joke.

You really think McCoy could not throw for 5000 yards and 60 TDs against Houston's garbage schedule?

I don't think McCoy is the Heisman personally ... but he for damn sure should finish higher than a gimmick offense QB in a crappy ass conference. McCoy is on a team that actually runs the ball, plays defense and wins in a REAL conference.
