That looks horrible. I feel like crying. He looks rough.

EDIT; I though his leg had a bad break, let's all get together and pray it's a bad bruise.
That might be a little extreme given he walked off with help.
The best part of my day is when I get down on my knees, with my head in my hands, and thank GOD for everything he has given me.

    Nice assumption Doctor.

What? You didn't think it looked like his leg broke? I'm no Doctor, but a broken leg would more than likely mean the end of his season. Even you must know that.

Either way, the man looks in pain. We need him, or our team is going to give up.

    So did Greenway last year...

Wouldn't surprise me if he tore a knee ligament.

    Absolutely terrible day.

    No, I did not.
Nor did I rush to make such a ridiculous assumption for a thread.

Ya, a team gives up because of an injury.
Why even show up next week.

    Great post...just keeps getting better.

Even as a Packer fan, I am relieved to see AP back up on his feet and walking around... too good of a player to see injuried and not playing.

    Whew..

You're a football coach, you know how losing a teams star (and really only offensive threat) can damage a teams morale. Sure maybe not with 9 & 10 year olds, but you can't deny that our O will be flat without AP. Our confidence will no doubt take a hit, and if you believe otherwise I don't know what to tell you.

I would never be happier to eat crow if he isn't injured. Excluding you, I'm pretty sure many of the members feel that if we lose AP our season is over. We can make assumptions like that. We aren't showing our opinions to the team, where as a coach can't say "Well, he's hurt. We're done now." That's what being a fan means.

I want to see us win as much as you do, but I don't see it happening without AP. The Bears and Chargers games are examples of this. Without AP, would we have beaten both of those teams?

As you can see, I bolded the ended career part of his post.
I don't recall any football careers that ended when a player walked off the field.

Losing morale and giving-up = 2 different things.
