Thread: Shortening "Quotes" for brevity.

What should I do if I need to lengthen the quote of the person I am quoting, becuase what they said is all wrong??

This forum is self-regulating to a large degree, but when it comes to something like this, a PM to a moderator or Webby would have done much more good.

That way, if Webby believes it is a problem it can be addressed from the top down. When it is done like this, you'll probably just get ridiculed for looking lik the post police.

As for your idea of shortening quotes by stipping out the extranneous parts, I do it all the time to save thread space.

I do it because I think it's a good idea, but I don't insist others follow suit.

The irony of taking it to name-calling in a thread about using the "quote" button but you not actually using the quote button so no one knows who has the "dumb ass" is just delicious.
