Try to avoid jingoism such as, "I
hate Christmas because of the commercialism." A better response would be, "I hate Chrismas because my kid turns into Satan's spawn on Christmas morning if I don't go to fisticuffs to get that last furby or tickle-me Elmo or whatever fuckoff toy all the kids want this year."

So, I'll get it started:

I hate Christmas because every year I ask for the same thing for Christmas: World Peace. Know what I get? Socks. Fucking socks. Granted, some of them have been really nice argyle socks, but that still hardly compares to a planet free from war, death, or violence. What a bunch of horseshit!

I hate Christmas because the radio stations start playing Christmas music 24/7
a week before Thanksgiving. Its the same damn songs being sung by different people over and over again. I can’t take it!!!! Christmas music is shit!

Here are a couple solutions to the Christmas Music malaise that is gripping you:

1.
Listen to KFAN
2.
Switch to a satellite radio system - XM has FIVE different music channels of Chrismas music, ranging from a free-for-all where you might get Dean Martin followed up by Mariah Carey (ick).

Listen to KFAN
4.
Listen to the digital music on your cable or satellite system.
Our cable (Charter) now has 2 music stations, mostly so you can avoid the barking dogs doing Jingle Bells.

Listen to KFAN

Look, there are things I love about Christmas too (remember, both Scrooge and the Grinch come around to the Christmas spirit in the end). But the point of this thread is not about those things. It is about all of the frustraiting, naseating, and downright awful parts about Christmas.

It is a place to spread holiday jeers!

I hate turkey dinners. I eat them but they just make me feel like a steaming bag of shit, and you can't just not eat a dinner someone spent all day preparing. Thanksgiving isn't bad, but christmas for me usually involves at least 3 different turkey dinners, usually 3 days in a row. 23rd, 24th & 25th.


And Christmas songs on the radio as well.

Oh and i have to go to my dad's girlfriends family dinner on the night of the 23rd this year. Right when we play the Skins... I was thinking of breaking my leg, at least i could watch the game in the waiting room of the hospital.

Maybe you hate Christmas because you're not celebrating the real reason for it's being and getting caught up in the commericalism of Christmas which I hate, too. If Christmas was only one day it would be a wonderful celebration.
That's why I like Easter better, not near the commericalism.

I was telling everybody I was going to get Jesus a birthday cake for Christmas.

I hate christmas because church is always way over crowded even with the extra masses. Every Sunday it is half empty, but for some reason everyone thinks Christmas is the best time to go. >:(
