Oh floop me in my white flooping floop lovin' ass!

Fuck. You. Experian. Credit. You. Incompetent. Bastards.

So it's a lovely Saturday morning. Things are great, summer is in the air, etc.. Fuck.

I have my eyes on this beautiful car I would like to purchase. No problem. Have plenty of money, good credit, and the need for a vehicle. Done deal, right?

Not according to one of the three major credit companies.

Long story short - I supposedly (even though I have not owned a car in the last year) have had a vehicle repossessed. I was sitting in the chair, waiting for the salesman to come back and hand me my keys when all of a sudden I get the denial.

Salesperson: I'm sorry sir, it seems we have a problem. You have had a vehicle repossessed within the last year."

Me: "Haha. Yeah, well that's really strange because I didn't own a vehicle within the last year. I was in Hawaii for college, vehicle-less."

Salesperson: It says right here on Experian.

Me: Well Experian is full of shit. I just purchased a Harley not too long ago, and also received my credit report from my banker and that was not on there.

Salesperson: I'm sorry, but that's what our records indicate.

    Well fuck me....

I have a long, pissed off drive home and immediately order my credit report. Sure as shit. The other two major credit companies have my score ranked good and show nothing of the sort. But good ole Experian somehow has me showing a vehicle repossessed. Now I have to wait until Tuesday, call the goofy bastards (or the bogus bank that reported it) wait a month or so for the credit report to update, and probably miss this good deal on the car I want because Experian is retarded.

I asked the salesperson to check Equifax or Transunion because they have the correct credit report, but no dice.

If I lose out on that car (which I probably will) I will rage. Freakin' rage man.

I paid my shit on time, avoided late payments, and did everything I was supposed to to keep my score up. All for nothing. All because someone, somewhere is full of shit.

I'm glad this was brought to my attention, but come on,...

That's where I had to go to get my report...

I think this is bullshit. I'm being punished for someone else's incompetence.

Ever think of not financing through the dealership? Just go to a neighborhood credit union and ask about a car loan. Usually a much better rate anyways and a better chance of being approved.

Well my banker isn't in today. He would have given me the money, but I didn't mind going through the dealership.

I'll have to wait until Tuesday to talk to him, but the car may very well be gone by then. Either way, it's ridiculous this even had to happen. Sure it will (should be) fixed, but the fact that it even happened is enough to send me into a rage.

I've worked hard to build, improve, and maintain my credit. I just feel like I really got a bad, bad deal here. Life sucks, shit happens yes. This is just one kick in the nuts I didn't plan on taking.

Wait until you get married and have a kid and have all sorts of crazy ass bills popping up! Credit bullshit runs this damn country and it really really sucks. I hope you figure this all out quickly, because I know EXACTLY how frustrating all of this can be.

    baumy,

I feel your pain, and believe me, I once lost out on a great deal on a house because of the same type of issue.
My back stabber was Transunion at the time, and the downfall was, someone with the same name as me from CT., but no relation to me or my family at all, had some of his junk show up on a report of mine...
    ???

But right there in black and white the report was showing even two different SS numbers.
But try to point that out to them and they go blind....It was a terrible mix up that took alot of letter writting and argueing to get rid of...Took me like 3 months to get it cleaned up at the time, and the house was long gone by then...

Hopefully you can get it cleaned up quicker for yourself, just try to keep you cool, something I'm not good at myself....

    3 words:
    Cash Is King.

In the long run, you end up paying less anyways.

And you don't have to worry about some douchebag messing up your credit.

Sure Cash is nice and I try to bye most items I need with it.
But your average person can't just go out and spend $30,000 give or take, or even $150,00 plus
    cash on a new home.

So yes, Cash is King, but just isn't the answer for most everyday people....
