Need some cheering up...
Yesterday was probably the hardest day in my life for quite some time. No need to go into specifics. I just wish I could ignore the little things in life and focus on what really matters. Life is so short. I just hope this can help me change the way I view some things. I hope those who are in my path can forgive me for being such a jackass sometimes. I am truly sorry.
:'(
Any advice would be appreciated.

Don't have much advice to give, but keep strong, and for now, take a browse through this, who's sole purpose is exactly what you need: http://www.purplepride.org/forums/index.php?topic=5621.3240

Peaks and Valleys, my friend... everything moves in waves.
And if you take IBP's advice and click that link, you'll be peaking quite a bit.Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

C Mac said it well.
Life is full of high highs and low lows.
If you are in a low now that just means that tomorrow will be better.

Not sure what lead to the bad day, but you seem awful reflective here.. so I will share something that my grandfather once told me in a quote after my accident and kind of left it at that..
I have learnt silence from the talkative, toleration from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet strange, I am ungrateful to these teachers. ~ Kahlil Gibran
After some time I finally figured out what he meant.. the path of life is a book of lessons to be learned, and most times the largest lessons are taught at the toughest times. Even though they sting with some sort of pain, if you can get past that emotional welt, harvest the lesson.
Not sure that it applies... but I have used that as a guide in the troubled waters of this thing called life.
As others have put it.. look forward to tomorrow if today is full of gray.
Good luck my purple friend.

Re: Need some cheering up...
Sometimes it seems as though we need extreme sorrow in life to appreciate extreme happiness or euphoria.
Maybe this is a sign of a looming Vikings SB?
:P
Hang in there buddy.

Re: Need some cheering up...
Hey bro, I'm in a bad spot too. I'm looking ahead, it's not getting better. I'm going straight to Afghanistan from here. Armor is moving in. Don't get me wrong, I chose this. But f*ck, I've got tough times stretching out for awhile to come. Sometimes it overwhelms me in a bad way. Bad. Don't know how I'm going to get through. Then I go across the hall and talk to a buddy. We start laughing, bullshittin' drinking a beer, things get better. Might sound a bit gay, hope it don't, but we got each other and the rest of my platoon to talk to. It's good you can tell others how you feel. Hang in there. I will too. Drink a beer this weekend or after work, and remember cool shit we have to look forward too.

Most of the time you seem pretty happy here. I love the back and forth you and Z have sometimes.
We all go through those tough times in life, from time to time.
We all are here for support.“What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. It’s the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"
