Probably, I doubt it would be boring.

Would you take $10,000 or flip a coin for a chance at $100,000?

No; a payoff of $100,000 could be put to use, and a 50% chance at $900,000 could also, but a loss would eliminate any use of the $100,000.

I wouldn't apply the same logic for $10,000 or a flip for $100,000 because it doesn't take long to earn $10,000, but it takes a long time ( 10 times the amount of time ) to earn $100,000.
Further, after taxes, the $10,000 free offering is fairly insignificant.

How much is a prize of $100,000 worth AFTER TAXES ?

When we stop to think about it, most folks behavior isn't perplexing after all !

depends on how much other income you have and what state you live in, for me in minnesota it would be $68,096. Irs gets 24685 and MN gets 7219.

Would you flip the coin again, betting 50,000 for 500,000?

I wouldn't have flipped the coin the FIRST time around.
$10,000 would get me and my wife out of the financial hole we're in right now.....sort of.
    LOL

Do you own or rent your living quarters?

    Not in northern MN.

If BLV doesn't rent or own his living space......does that mean he lives with his mom? Or where does he live?

    Thanks Josdin00 for the sig!
