Thread: Got Roaches?

Alright, so I'm out of town on another biz trip.
Chilling in the hotel room, drinking some beers, posting on PP.O, etc.
I'm reading Garland's latest post in the "Next gen consoles" thread when I catch a glimpse of movement from the corner of my eye.

That's right...a fucking cockroach.

Call me a pussy for being in Minnesota and not having to deal with this but SHIAT!
I've stayed in hotel rooms all across the country and I've never had a fucking roach scampering across my room (with the lights on!).
Cockroaches are disgusting.
This fucker was 2.5 inches long...one of the bigger ones I've seen...albeit average size in general.

I used to work at a school over the summer and they had cockroaches out the ass! They used to be in the light fixtures and under the cafeteria counters.

I had to dust mop once and me and another worker counted 28 dead ones. It was so sick!

We told the head engineer and he relplied with, "They are water bugs, not roaches"

Cover up? I think so!

Well let this be a waring to anybody coming down for the Vikings/Cardinals game - Don't stay at the La Quinta Inn by the PHX airport.
Unless you are used to or enjoy the company of roaches while you sleep.
I was feeling lonely but this isn't what I had in mind.

I only stayed here because I only needed one more night to get a free night stay on my points card that I started a couple years ago.
It's back to Marriott and Holiday Inn for me.
It's a shame too because La Quinta offers pretty nice rooms for a good price.

Just make sure to check your luggage and make sure you are not bringing any friends back with you

They will likely comp you.
Roaches are a fact of life in the south, but you don't have to sleep with them.

FYI everyone- Don't squish them with your shoes because the roaches carry their eggs inside themselves so you end up getting their eggs on the bottom of your shoes and then carry the eggs everywhere you bring your shoes.
