You watched the "Missing Rings 1969 Vikings" didn't you?
I did. I feel worse for the players in 1969 but was more emotional about the loss in 1998 because of what Carter said in that episode. That might be one of the best teams never to win the Superbowl.

In your opinion, what is the best team that didn't win from the modern era? 1998 Vikings? The 18-1* Patriots? One of the recent Chargers team?
What do you mean by "Modern Era"? I don't remember much of the 69 game so I guess, for me, the modern era starts in the 70's but I will try to be more current with my response.......

    Going backwards.

Colts last year. Pats in XLII. Bills in XXVI again in XXVIII. For some reason I liked those Bills teams. Phins in XIX is a close one. All of the Vikes games.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

Modern would be since free agency I guess. Or about 15 years ago.

Just looking at the teams who have lost in the Superbowl over the last while, really only that Patriots team might have been better than the winner. Maybe the Colts team from last year as well. The Titans team that lost to the Rams was pretty good as well, but besides that, all those NFC teams who made it just got lucky or took advantage of injuries etc. I would think there are more teams that did not make the dance who would be some of the better teams not to win.
