Fortunately that has yet to happen to the 3 jerseys that we have signed. I have never seen a jersey signed in gold or silver but I would have to agree with BloodyHorns, I would think that the gold would stand out better against a white background. Good luck!"VikingMD" wrote:

It's sweet as hell!
SILVER or GOLD?
I have noticed that over time they fade or bleed out….
The autographs that I have where the gold or silver paint markers were used look as new as the day they were signed.

I have many jerseys signed in black. A few have faded slightly, some not at all & an autographed Moss jersey I had completely faded away. But mine aren't out in display where the sun can get to them shining through the window. If that happens, black is sure to fade as I have seen on a Culpepper autographed football I bought when we drafted him."VikingMD" wrote:

I have hundreds of autographed helmets. The black looks goodif it is signed on the horn, but not as nice if signed on the purple.
IMO, the best looking ones are ones that are signed in gold on the purple.

I like getting autographs, but only if I obtain them myself.
I don't see the value of buying it...
It doesn't mean that much.
As for the fading, I haven't had any fade, but there is two windows in my Vikings room but I don't even consider them windows since they are so small.
All my jerseys are signed with black Sharpie.
My McKinnie one I had signed twice because the first time he signed it on the shoulder in silver :P
As for helmets, I agree with Singer.
Black will only look good if its on the white horn.
If signing on the purple part of the helmet, it is best to go with gold or silver.

Bud Grant is another tough one to get. I have a few things signed by him.

I do collect stuff though, got two Wheaties boxes (unopened) from 87 and 91 that are my prized pieces.
I thought you had a Favre signed jersey from the '95 season?
