I agree with Webby! I just got a MacBook Pro during Christmas break, and now that I have the time Leopard will be installed, and I'll set it up the way I want. Great computer once you get use to them.
    Leopard is the sweetness.

    Ned, PM me.
I can get you one at no cost I think.
    I will check Monday.
Its about 2 yrs old, a Dell.
Woulda been Ultra's but I got him a diff machine.
I just need to see if we still have it.
    Wireless, etc.

Depending on specs for that one, though, most likely it will be a little slow, but you can surf and check email I am sure just fine.
That's a hell of a nice gesture on your part Webby.
I know Ned will get a lot of use out of that while he's bed ridden.

A gesture of that magnitude, IMO, at least warrants a promise from Ned that the next time he's in the Twin Cities, he gets down on his knees & bow in front of the Mary Tyler-Moore statue, pay homage to her & then kiss her feet.
    :P

I think I'll send him a little bell for his nightstand so that he can ring it whenever he wants Margie to come a running & cater to his every need.

She'll love me for that, I'm sure.

    Top shelf my friend.
    Top shelf indeed.

I saw you said the Puter is configured for wireless connectivity.
Ned, do you have a wireless router?
If not I will send the cable, just let me know.

Nope, he does not have one, thus the need for a cord.

depending on what you have to spend, macbooks are good. i personally hate macs and will probably never use one, but from what i have heard, they are good.
i have a hp pavilion dv6325ca entertainment notebook pc. other than it having vista, it is really good and we got a pretty good price on it from bestbuy
    We're bringing purple back.
