Lance Johnstone Game Used Jersey with Cert of Authenticity
Hey, ya'll! I hate to do this, but I'm selling my Lance Johnstone game used jersey on eBay. Before you kill me, or ask "why the hell would you sell this?", I'll tell you that I've got two of them . . . well, the other's a Moss jersey that I can't part with. I couldn't keep 'em both, so hopefully this will make someone else happy. The jersey was actually worn by Johnstone, probably during the 2001 or 2002 campaign. It comes with a certificate of authenticity from the NFL with a registered number (that also matches the holographic sticker on the jersey itself). It doesn't get more official than this folks. I really have no idea how much it's worth, so I'm starting it at a reasonable price--$99. It's really rare, and I haven't seen another (unless you've lucked out at a pro shop). Johnstone's a beast (Viking sack leader since 2001), here's a chance to get his jersey for cheap!! So check out the auction! You can verify the authenticity before you bid at: www.psadna.com. Enter the authenticity number 1N11113, and see for yourself!
PS--I don't hose people on shipping--$10 for Priority Mail (2-3 days) including insurance, not bad!

To bad it isn't signed.
If you bought this off eBay from NFL Auctions, I'm sure I bid against you.
I have 1/2 dozen or so autographed authentic jerseys including Tark, C-Pep, CC & 3 Moss.
They'd be very tough for me to part with so I know it must be tough for you.
Good luck on you sale!

Why do they take the names off the back????
Why isn't the number sewn on, if it was a worn jersey?
The photo is a little dark and it is hard to see.
I thought the Viking dude was also sewn on the sleeve?
Maybe I just don't understand what a game worn authentic jersey is?

I'm a huge jersey collector, as I have a whole hallway full of authentic and autographed Vikings jerseys. It's a nice jersey you have, but I hate to tell you, I don't think it's a Johnstone jersey. The style of the jersey is older than what they wear now, and also it's made by Wilson. The Vikings wore starter jerseys in 1998 and 1999, went to Puma in 2000, and then at some point in 2001 Reebok bought the rights to every team in the NFL.
I don't know when Johnstone's first year with the Vikes was, but I know for a fact that they didn't wear Wilson jerseys since at least 1997 or before. Sorry, I'm not trying to be a jerk. It's a really nice jersey and anybody would be lucky to have a game worn jersey, but if I were you, I'd check into it a little more, as far as who's jersey it is. Unless Johnstone played in the mid 90's, I would find out who was #51 during that time, and I think that's who's jersey it is.
