    Hotels near the dome

Booked a two night stay for oct. 4,5th
at the best western normandy inn and suites
Anyone have any info of how good a hotel it is.
Its nice and close to the dome so I can stumble home
    after Favre torches the packers.

It's a little older but adequate. Walking distance. Good parking setup if you are driving in from out of town.
Drunks in the room next door partied till 3 am the night before the game. But otherwise was ok.

    Re: Hotels near the dome

Stayed there once like 5 years ago and I liked the stay itself.

Just had a problem with the front desk clerk not knowing how to do something and it took me about an hour or so to get checked in. I haven't stayed there since just because it left me with a bad feeling but I know it's probably a one time deal and I wouldn't advise people to not go there or anything like that. Everything else was just fine...

The hotel is good but not great.
There are better hotels in downtown Minny, but none in the same price range.
It is is a convienant location.
Not a lot of perks, but not much to complain about either.

Thanks for all the input, last year we stayed by the university days inn, got a shuttle bus to the game but getting back to the hotel was an adventure, plus, there were no good bars near by, at least that we found.

Is the comfort suites much better? Its a little pricier but not by too much. Sounds like they have a
pretty decent breakfast, or is it just a continental?
    They charge $20/night to park
    Normandy was only $7/night
