Is that site semi-legit with it's jerseys? I'm really considering buying one for the heck of it, but I don't want a blue-ish purple Harvin jersey or something that looks like the fakest jersey on earth. If they are close to what the authentic jerseys are, I'll get one. If not, I'm not going to bother.
Yes. (The site & link mentioned on the first page of this thread anyways) Some of us here have already bought jerseys from them.

http://www.purplepride.org/forums/index.php?topic=51997.80

Here's the Harvin jersey I bought from them. It's purple in color even though the photos tend to show it blueish.

Now - contrast with the real thing, and the differences become a bit more obvious.

It's the stripes that bother me.
They aren't supposed to go up and over the shoulders like they do on the Chinese version.
thats not a real thing its a replica.

The stripes don't go over the shoulder when you're wearing it.

I have quite a few of those Vikings jerseys, and the stripes all fall to the side like in the picture you showed.
I was confused on what the hell he was talking about.
What's so confusing?
By "real thing" I mean "not manufactured by some sweatshop but actually by a manufacturer with the NFL contract".

And the point is still valid - the side stripes are wrong (at least in the pictures supplied by Singer).
They should NOT go up and over the shoulders as they appear to do.
your looking at two different views.
I'll take a picture of my AD jersey and show you, the sleeves fall to the side, just not when its flattened.
Post a picture of one of your jerseys in the same position and lets compare.
And you're arguing with me just for the sake of arguing.
The stripes are on the sleeves, NOT the shoulders.
Singer has folded the sleeves behind his jersey in the pictures.

=Z=

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

Never said your point wasn't valid. I just didn't understand. You are just a grumpy old man. Would the "replica" you have look the same if you spread out the sleeves?
How about instead of "replica" you say "officially licensed jersey", eh?
And the answer is "no".
The stripes are wrong (as are the numbers on the shoulders and the "Vikings" above the numbers on the chest).

I'm not ragging on anyone for buying these jerseys - it's a great price.

I'm curious myself to see the difference.

Also, keep in mind that your "officially licensed jersey" is a replica style, which are different than the authentic styles.
If anyone has a real authentic they bought from nfl.com or something they wanted to post to compare that would be great.

I'm seriously considering buying the Randall McDaniel throwback they have....

http://www.fashionlineshop.com/ProView.php?id=MTg4Nw==

Man... I like that a lot. Sharp.

You should get that.
buy everyone one
Ned will do that once Pure Spectrum goes THROUGH THE ROOF!
I'm not holding my breath
I'm not holding my breath either, but put me on the list just in case! I'll take a size 56, thank you!
I want to know why they chose McDaniel, and not some other HOFers?
Nothing against him, but it just seems like an odd choice, when Carter, Eller, Page, etc. are also there.
Probably because McDaniel is going into the HoF this year.

And no Carter who played for the Vikings is currently in the HoF.
I doubt the chinese pay mucha ttention to the HOF.
(although maybe, since they caught onto the favre thing fairly quick)
I'm sure they pay a lot of attention to what would be a good seller.
My guess is that all of the incoming HoFers for 2009 have jerseys on that site now.

=Z=
I'm gonna have to disagree with part of that... look through their site, you can get:
Larry English, Buster Davis, Mike tolbert, Antoine Cason, Jacob Hester, Sidney Rice, not to mention they don't even have new Jaguars jerseys up.
They weren't selling Tark jerseys untill this season (believe me, I've been looking for a while), no throwback AD jerseys (I bet those woudl sell)

They have some idea of what sells well, but some of their choices are really questionable.

actually, the styling is quite different between the replica and authentic ones.
authentics have tapered collars, the reebok logo is closer to the stripe, rather than at the bottom of the sleeve.
Some of the replicas made for places like target are quite bad actually.
As well, with authentics, the top of the back above the nameplate is mesh, replicas have a solid fabric.

again, you post ap icture of someone wearing it.
I'll post a picture of me wearing the jersey and show you taht the stripes fall to the side.
If you can, at some point post a picture of the jersey flattened, in the same position and lets see if there's a difference.

actually, the styling is quite different between the replica and authentic ones.
authentics have tapered collars, the reebok logo is closer to the stripe, rather than at the bottom of the sleeve.

Also the ends of the sleeves are different. I actually hate how the replicas look. That is why I won't buy them. I would rather have a cheaper one that looks closer to the real thing.
