Found this on ebay.
Obviously a fake, since Tarkenton clearly never wore this jersey, but would be an interesting one to add to the collection.

and you can't have one custom made in the nflshop, since you can't have retired players put on jerseys.

I am confused as to how it is a "throwback"
All it is is a custom made jersey. Not a throw back. My Randy Moss Jersey is more throwback than than that one.

nope, nfl won't let you custom make jerseys with retired plyers numbers, or with players who play for a different team, or changing the numbers of current players.
Someone has a factory somewhere and heard tarkenton was a good player, so they looked up what the vikings jersey looks like, and threw tarkenton on it and a M&N logo on it.
