2009 Bengals vs. Vikings Tickets
What's up guys, it's your local Bengals fan and now that the schedule has been released, I'm looking for some advice.
I've never been to Minneapolis to see a game and am unfamiliar with the stadium.
Do you have any recommendations on a good location for tickets that aren't going to kill me in price and won't put me in the bathroom or behind a poll (which is where I'm sure most Vikings fans would prefer to see a Bengals fan at their home stadium) ??
My wife and I will be making the trip up from Sioux Falls and I was just looking for some assistance.
Anything would be appreciated.
Thanks !!!

Anywhere in the top level is fine if you sit row 15 or lower. I sit in row 8, section 215.
Re: 2009 Bengals vs. Vikings Tickets
I would wait and buy last minute. Tickets should be cheap later on. Anything but limited view seats should be fine(they say limited view or LV on them).
You can buy directly from the Vikings by going to www.vikings.com, though they are not on sale yet.
Like I said if you wait you are likely to get a better deal and better seats.

You might want to PM me with your info.
Looks like me, my wife, my Bud Randy and his girl are coming home to the mother ship for that game.
We might be able to do something together (tickets/hotels etc).
I am sure he would like to have a fellow Bengal fan with him to share in the beat down.
Edit:
Just showed him your post.
He said, "Hey, the other fan".......He is not sure if the both of you should be together.
If you were both wiped out it would get rid of the whole fan club.
;D
Re: 2009 Bengals vs. Vikings Tickets
There are very vew bad seats in the metrodome.
I personally like upper deck, low row.
I think it gives you the best view of the field.
There are a small number of limited view seats that have the field partially obstructed by a support pole.
If you plan on looking on ebay or stub hub, stay away from any seats in row 25 or higher.
Even they are "supposed" to inform you if they are limited view seats, they don't always do so.
IDK about waitin guntil the last minute if you are coming in from out of town.
You may bery well get a better deal, but that is a big risk after a 4+ hour drive. :)
If you are planning on staying the night, I would also recommend staying at the Mall of America.
You can take the light rail in and out of the city for $6.50 round trip, and you don't have to worry about the traffic.
The ride is pretty crowded after a game, so it may take an hour to get back to the Mall.
But then you are already south of the cities for the drive back to SD.

Not saying you need to wait until you get here to buy tickets. But buying online a week before the game seems to be pretty affordable, especially for a december game. I know last year there were many great deals to be found for our games later in the season.
You can watch Stubhum.com, ticketkingonline.com, Ebay etc. I just wouldn't buy the first pair you see, wait and you might end up in the lower level for the price of upper level.

I think you'll find Vikings fans fairly friendly to opposing fans. That Marrdro cat is a closet Bengals fan anyway.
I think it would be good to hook up with him and his other Bengal buddy since he's familiar with the Dome, ticketing, eating, lodging, tailgating, and sometimes, beer drinking.

Don't listen to this guy.
That Marrdro guy is a yutz.

Re: 2009 Bengals vs. Vikings Tickets
I suggest you cheer for the Vikings so you don't leave disappointed and sad.
Seriously though, you might want to try the VIP tent. It is kind of pricey but the all you can eat/drink along with the seats are a pretty sweet deal.

Forget the VIP tent...we have all you can eat and drink at our own tent just outside the dome.
Friendlier faces and better times.
